Jungkook's solo debut with the single "Seven" in 2023 has been recognized as one of the standout tracks of the year, securing the 10th position in the global rankings. Collaborating with rapper Latto, Jungkook's groundbreaking song quickly captured worldwide attention, topping charts from the United States to South Korea.
Announced in the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) 2023 annual report, "Seven Feat Latto" emerged as the only Asian artist entry in the top rankings among a roster dominated by Western acts. The IFPI hailed Jungkook's achievement, noting the instant global success of "Seven". Released during the summer, the song debuted at #1 worldwide, breaking multiple chart records and setting new standards for streaming.
Among the top-ranking singles of the year, Miley Cyrus leads with "Flowers", followed by Rema and Selena Gomez's collaboration "Calm Down", and SZA's "Kill Bill" in third place. Notably, Jungkook's accomplishment places him ahead of renowned artists like Taylor Swift, who secured the ninth spot.
Jungkook's venture into solo projects, alongside his BTS bandmates, came as they prepared for mandatory military service. Starting with "Seven" featuring Latto, Jungkook followed up with "3D" featuring Jack Harlow before making his album debut with "Golden".
